Model storage & retention

How model slots work, what changes with your plan, and how to keep a copy before cleanup.

How many models can I save, and what counts toward the limit?

Free includes 5 saved models, Creator 50, and Pro 200. Generated avatars and uploaded VRMs share one allowance. Each saved model counts once; using an uploaded VRM in Live does not use another slot.

What happens when my model allowance is full?

You cannot start a new generation or VRM upload until you manually delete existing models to make room. Download any models you want to keep to your device first. Downloading alone does not free cloud storage; a slot becomes available when deletion is complete. Adding a model does not automatically replace or delete an older model.

Why can the allowance be full before all my models are finished?

Queued generations, running generations, and uploads reserve a slot. For example, 4 saved models plus one generation in progress fill the Free allowance of 5. A successful save uses its reserved slot without counting twice. Failed or canceled jobs release their slot. Abandoned uploads hold space until canceled or expired and cleared. Retrying a failed generation requires an available slot again.

What happens to my models if I downgrade from Pro to Creator?

Your current paid plan continues until the next successful renewal switches you to Creator. Existing excess models have a 30-day grace period. The temporary limit is capped at the previous Pro allowance of 200 and protects the models still saved; it shrinks as you delete them, down to the Creator limit of 50. Deleted excess slots cannot be refilled. After the deadline, remaining models above 50 are removed, oldest first. Download models you want to keep before deleting them.

What happens if I cancel, do not renew, or my renewal payment fails?

Canceling renewal does not end your current paid benefits immediately. Without a successful renewal, you move to Free when the paid period ends. Existing excess models have 30 more days of protection, counted from that period end. The temporary limit shrinks as you delete models, down to the Free limit of 5; deleted excess slots cannot be refilled. After the deadline, remaining models above 5 are removed, oldest first.

Can I add models during the grace period, and where can I see the deadline?

The grace period protects existing excess models, not unused slots from the old plan. While saved models meet or exceed your current plan limit, deleting an excess model also reduces the temporary limit, so it does not create an extra slot to refill. Once you are below the current plan limit, you can add models within that limit; in-progress generations and uploads also reserve slots. The temporary limit never drops below your plan limit. The notice shows the deadline while you are over the limit. Models within the current plan limit are not removed for exceeding the allowance.

What if I already had too many models when these limits were introduced?

If your saved model count is above your plan limit when first counted, you receive a one-time 30-day grace period. The initial temporary limit equals that count and shrinks as models are deleted, down to your plan limit. For example, Free with 7 models starts at 7; deleting down to 5 lowers the limit to 5, and deleting further leaves the limit at 5. You cannot refill deleted excess slots. Accounts that have already deleted models also use the reduced limit. Download and organize models before the deadline; remaining excess models are removed afterward.

Will upgrading or subscribing again let me keep my models?

If a higher model allowance takes effect before cleanup starts and covers your saved models, those models will not be scheduled for removal for exceeding the allowance. Changing an active paid plan takes effect at the next successful renewal, so requesting an upgrade alone does not immediately increase capacity. A new subscription after expiry must be successfully paid and active. Check the allowance shown in your account. Models whose deletion has already started cannot be recovered.

Which models are removed after the grace period, and can I recover them?

Automatic cleanup removes the oldest excess models across generated avatars and uploaded VRMs, using their original creation time, not when you last used them. Deletion is permanent, with no recycle bin or additional confirmation. It removes the corresponding cloud files and related records, including associated images and previews where applicable, and invalidates related Live links. Copies you downloaded to your device remain available. Cleanup runs in the background and may be delayed if the oldest model is still being processed. Download anything you want to keep before the displayed deadline.
