Virmii Help Center | Avatars, Expressions & Streaming

Question 1

What do I need to create an avatar?

Accepted Answer

Start with a character image or a text description. In the studio, choose From image to upload your artwork, or From text to describe your character without a reference image. A clear face and visible limbs help when using an image.

Question 2

What kind of reference image works best?

Accepted Answer

Use a clear, front-facing full-body or half-body character image with visible limbs and a simple background. PNG, JPG, and WebP are supported up to 10 MB, at least 256 × 256 pixels, and no more than 40 megapixels. Avoid cropped limbs, overlapping props, text, and watermarks.

Question 3

Will my avatar match my reference exactly?

Accepted Answer

AI generation may change your character’s face, clothing, proportions, and details. Each new generation uses credits, and more attempts do not guarantee a closer match. If your result differs significantly or is unusable, contact contact@virmii.com before generating again.

Question 4

How long does generation take?

Accepted Answer

Time varies with provider capacity and the model's complexity. Virmii shows live stage-by-stage progress so you can leave the job page and return later.

Question 5

Where do AI expressions work?

Accepted Answer

They play in Virmii previews, Live Studio, and the OBS stage. They are not embedded in downloaded VRM files.

Question 6

How do I add blinking and mouth movements?

Accepted Answer

Open a completed Virmii-generated model and select Generate expressions to create 13 expression images. Each set costs 20 credits without a subscription. Creator and Pro use an included monthly generation when available, then 20 credits. The initial charge is kept if generation fails. Each model version allows up to 2 free retries for missing or failed images; completed images are kept. Further retries are blocked after both are used. Free retries use no additional credits, included generations, or model retry attempts. Processing may take up to 24 hours. Once ready, enable your camera and tune the tracking sensitivity. Subscribers can see their remaining included generations at the top of the model’s AI expressions panel. This allowance is shared across all their models.

Question 7

Can I add AI expressions to an uploaded VRM?

Accepted Answer

AI expression generation is available for models created in Virmii. Uploaded VRMs use their existing expression bindings, so blinking and lip sync depend on how that model was prepared.

Question 8

How do I connect my avatar to OBS?

Accepted Answer

Virmii creates a private live-stage URL for the avatar. Add that address to an OBS Browser Source, then use the Virmii Live Studio in a supported browser as the camera-tracking controller.

Question 9

Can I download my avatar?

Accepted Answer

Completed jobs can provide a VRM download and, when available, the generated GLB. Downloads use short-lived access links, so reopen the job if an older link expires.

Question 10

Which browsers are supported?

Accepted Answer

Virmii supports current desktop versions of Chrome and Edge for camera tracking and live transport. Static avatar preview may work in other modern browsers, but the complete live workflow is not guaranteed there.

Question 11

Do I need a subscription?

Accepted Answer

No. You can generate 3D models and AI expressions with one-time credit packs. Expression generation costs 20 credits per set without a subscription. Creator includes 3 expression generations per month and Pro includes 6; additional sets cost 20 credits. Plans also include monthly credits, more model storage, and generation priority.

Question 12

How many credits does a generation use?

Accepted Answer

Each model generation uses 50 credits, whether you start with an image or text. AI expression generation costs 20 credits per set without a subscription. Creator and Pro use included monthly expression generations first, then 20 credits per set. Included generations are separate from monthly credits. The initial charge is kept if generation fails. Each model version allows up to 2 free retries for missing or failed images; completed images are kept. Further retries are blocked after both are used. Free retries use no additional credits, included generations, or model retry attempts. Downloads, browser tracking, and OBS output have no additional fee or credit cost.

Question 13

How many models can I save?

Accepted Answer

Free includes 5 saved models, Creator 50, and Pro 200. Generated avatars and uploaded VRMs share one allowance. Each saved model counts once; using an uploaded VRM in Live does not use another slot.

Question 14

What happens if I cancel or downgrade?

Accepted Answer

Paid benefits continue until your paid period ends. Subscription credits expire 30 days after paid membership ends; purchased credits never expire. If your model limit falls, excess models have a 30-day grace period before the oldest excess models are permanently removed. Download anything you want to keep before the deadline.

Question 15

Does Virmii upload my camera video?

Accepted Answer

Raw camera video is processed locally in your browser. Virmii sends the movement data needed to animate your avatar on the live stage, not your camera footage.

Question 16

Can I use my avatar commercially?

Accepted Answer

All plans include commercial use. You must own or have permission to use your inputs and respect applicable law, provider terms, and any rights in the underlying character or reference image.

Question 17

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Email contact@virmii.com from the email associated with your account to request account deletion. You can also request access, export, or correction of your data.
